Habboween in Habbo Hotel: Origins!

COUNT YOURSELVES LUCKY, citizens of Habbo Hotel: Origins. This is the first ever Habboween we’re hosting in the Hotel, and to mark it properly this month we’ve got an absolute stack of frightfully fun things to get involved in!


We’ll be hosting activities and competitions, as well as adding some truly iconic and spooky items to the Catalogue

What’s happening?

• We’ll be hosting a creative, IRL art competition where you’ll need to make something in real life and take a picture of it.
  
• We’ll also be doing a throwback competition with a twist – contenders will need to draw pixel art of two famous old Habbo characters, after which the community will vote on the best designs!
  
• Watch out for a special live event we’ll be running called “The Return of the Dead Rare”. Should be spooky and fun.
  
• Then, we’re running another, arguably quite interesting type of competition: “The Horror Party of the Year”. You’ll have to compete to run the busiest Habboween events in the Hotel!
  
• On Habboween itself we’ve got an in-game parade lined up 🤩
  

We’ve also taken into account your feedback about the prizes not being up to scratch and have souped them up a bit for Habboween Please also note that for a number of the competitions we’re running, we’ll be giving out small numbers of rares and Funky Friday items. These will often be from previous weeks, or in other words outside of their release windows.

🪦 Freaky Friday furni and rares

So yeah this month Funky Friday mutates into FREAKY Friday. And we’ve got six classic Habboween rares being released throughout the month, too.

Inspired by Alper.’s post on the Habbo Origins subreddit, we’ve decided to do a Habboween competition like we’ve never done before! Between now until the 21st October, we’d like you to create your favourite Habboween item with Perler beads! (Or another similar type of "fuse" beads.)

 Rules of the competition

• You don’t have to use a specific brand of beads, any kind of meltable beads will do! 
  
• The furni has to be from Habbo Hotel: Origins. 
  
• The furni must be a Habboween item.
  
• You need to take a picture of the item you make AND your username on some paper in the same shot. 
  
• One item per avatar.
  
• Your avatar should have been active within the last month.  
  

 How to submit

You can submit your entry on X and then add it to this Google Form to ensure that we have it recorded.
Winners will be announced on the 23rd October.

First Place

• The whole Habboween furni line.
  
• All rares and Funky Friday items released during the month of October (will be given at the end of the month).
  

Second Place

• The whole Habboween furni line.
  
• 2 rares or funky fridays released during the month of October of your choice (will be given at the end of the month).
  

Third Place

• The whole Habboween furni line.
  
• 1 rares or funky friday released during the month of October of your choice (will be given at the end of the month).
  

Runners Up (4th to 10th place)

Every October, as the moon rises high and the shadows grow long, the most anticipated event of the Habboween season returns: the Ms. Vamp and Mr. Brain Election 🧛‍�🧟‍�
This ghoulishly glamorous competition, which crowns the Queen and King of Halloween, is back to find the most spooky couple of the season. We want to attract supernatural contenders from all walks (or limps) of life.
From vampires to zombies, witches to ghosts, and every other creature of the night, all are eager to claim the throne of this spooky celebration.

 Rules of the competition

• This is an individual competition. 
  
• Draw two spooky characters for this year’s Ms Vamp and Mr Brain election. One female and one male character must be created and they need to be related to Halloween.
  
• This is a Habbo pixel art competition. You can draw your character from scratch, or if you don’t want to draw something, you can dress up your avatar in the game and take a screenshot of it.
  
• You need to upload your entry on X, Threads, or Instagram with your avatar name and Origins hotel included in the image and #HabboweenHabboOrigins in the post's caption.
  
• Make sure to include your name on anything you submit to avoid people submitting your work as their own.
  
• Only one participation per avatar.
  
• Your avatar should have been active within the last month.  
  

 How to submit

You can submit your entry on X, Threads or Instagram, and then add it to this Google Form to ensure that we have it recorded.
We will choose the top 3 entries and put them to vote. Winners will be announced on October 17th.

Unleash your inner demon to design the spookiest room you can, and then throw the wildest Habboween party you can inside it! Take screenshots of the room, and post them on social media with a description of all the shenanigans that you and your friends got up to inside!

Judging Criteria:

1. The more dynamic and immersive the party room and the description is, the better.
   
2. Beautiful rooms are appreciated, but not required - this is about the atmosphere!
   
3. We will check the rooms you use to make sure there is no foul play.
   

Name your room ‘Horror Party of the Year 2024’ and post your party’s description, pictures and / or videos on X, Threads or Instagram. Submit the link to your post in this Google Form so we can match them up with your room!
Make sure to include your name on anything you submit to avoid people submitting your work as their own.
